On a recent trip Connor and I went to a river known for producing nice browns. Like most rivers, these days it gets a lot more fishing pressure than it did when I started fishing it almost 20 years ago. There were anglers in most of the classic large runs and pools the day we were fishing so we ended up focusing on fish we could see or on water that was less attractive and obvious holding water to the other anglers. Thankfully, there were still nice fish to be found in the "in between water" that the other anglers were passing up.
