Five Tips for Fishing High Water

The river near my house was recently out of its banks from snowmelt runoff. While I often head to lakes during much of the runoff season, there is still some great fishing to be had when the water is high and dirty if you take the right approaches. I detail those approaches in chapter one of my book Tactical Fly Fisher: Lessons Learned from Competition for All Anglers but I thought it would be nice to quickly boil down those strategies into a five quick tips for the next time you face high water. Our latest YouTube video provides you with those five tips to help you make the most of your next day on the water when rain or snowmelt makes the conditions less than ideal.
