If there is any way I prefer to fly fish above all others it is to fish for trout I have spotted. Sight fishing provides a unique visual excitement that takes fly fishing to a higher level for me. However, it's not a method that many fly anglers practice outside of New Zealand. The next time you find yourself on a clear river, try and sight fish as much as possible.
