YouTube Double Header and New Site Wish List Feature

Hello everyone,
It's finally snowing outside after an autumn of record heat and fires. The fish have perked up with increased flows and old man winter on the horizon. I hope they've followed the same pattern wherever you're reading this from.

Over the last year I have noticed some interesting trends on the topic of fishing one or two flies when Euro nymphing. During this time, I have judged quite a few anglers at competitions and observed them sticking with one fly or two flies in water types where I felt a change would have been beneficial. I have also seen quite a few posts on social media, and heard a few podcast interviews with high level anglers, which suggested quite a few folks are a bit dogmatic when it comes to fishing one or two flies when nymphing.

I used to be a bit more inflexible regarding rigging myself, which I believe held me back at times. Over the years I have found a few general situations where a one or a two fly rig tends to be best for me. In the video I just published, I share the pros and cons of fishing one or two nymphs and the situations when I am mostly likely to rig one way or the other. If you happen to be a bit inflexible yourself, hopefully this video will inspire you to experiment a little more and find situations where adapting your rig will help you be more successful. You can watch the video by clicking the play button below.

In a follow up video, we'll head to the water where I will demonstrate a couple of situations where I chose to fish one or two flies based on the target holding water.
If one fishing video isn't enough, Fulling Mill published a YouTube video a couple of days ago. This is another installment in the videos which Dominic Lentini shot with me back in the spring. In it I fish a fairly non-descript slow flat with a dry dropper on a micro Euro nymphing leader. Hopefully it will provide some ideas on how to probe similar water when you encounter it. You can watch the video by clicking the play button below.

Lastly, we just added a new wish list feature to our website. This will help you save items to remember later if you are building a cart of products over a couple of days. Importantly, if you want to make holiday shopping for others a bit easier and be a bit cheeky about others doing your shopping for you, you can share your wish list with others buying gifts for you. Just make sure you have picked the size and color of a product before adding it to your list.

To store your wish list, make sure you are logged into your tacticalflyfisher.com account. Then click on any of the heart icons you see in product photos or click the "add to wish list" button above the text of the product description of any product. To see your wish list, simply click on the heart icon in the upper right corner of the site. If you're wondering what on earth I'm talking about, I've included some screenshots below.

Thanks so much for all of your support of our store at tacticalflyfisher.com
