The XTZ ADIXION represents the next evolution of our XTZ series, a Euro-nymphing rod designed to exceed the expectations of the most discerning anglers. Lightweight, highly reactive, and paired with an innovative handle concept, it delivers precise presentations, unmatched sensitivity, and quickly becomes addictive for every tight line enthusiast.

Handle & Reel Seat – A New Balance Sensation

The XTZ ADIXION features a revolutionary handle and reel seat design, composed of an EVA grip and a hand-woven carbon reel seat, both merged together into a single unit. This seamless integration not only provides comfort and tactile feedback, but also enhances sensitivity by transmitting blank vibrations directly to the hand.

The shortened handle length allows the index finger to easily reach the blank, while the hand rests close to the reel, giving a new balance sensation. The rod feels lighter overall, rotates more naturally, and allows more precise control during casts and drifts.

The hand-woven carbon reel seat also functions as the fighting butt and integrates the adjustable weight balance system developed with ZMK. It contains three individual removable weights, allowing anglers to fine-tune the rod’s balance. The absence of visible threads ensures the reel stays perfectly in place — once set, there is no need for retightening.

The repositioning of the handle and reel seat serves a dual purpose: it improves reach, enhancing casting distance and drift control, and makes semi-automatic reels easier to operate due to improved lever access. The combination of these features creates a handle and reel seat experience unlike anything previously seen on a nymphing rod.

Blank & Guides – The Next Benchmark

The XTZ ADIXION blank is built from multidirectional Toray carbon using our signature X-Torzion technology, which neutralizes torsion and keeps the rod perfectly straight under load, ensuring consistent control during casts and fights. Thanks to pre-preg carbon sheets with reduced resin content, the blank is lighter and crisper, improving sensitivity and responsiveness.

We refined the tip section to improve the presentation of smaller nymphs and reduce hook-outs on smaller fish, while keeping the same powerful butt section for larger fish.

As in our previous XTZ series, we chose an unsanded blank, which minimizes line sticking in wet conditions and eliminates the need for mono-wrapping. The matte finish adds a subtle stealth look, with its slightly rougher surface providing minimal additional benefit against line adhesion.

The rod features a 12+1 guide layout, consisting entirely of single-foot guides to preserve the blank’s full bending curve. This includes one additional stripping guide compared to the previous XTZ generation. The stripping guides are titanium with SIC inserts, while the remaining guides are ultra-light wire stainless steel, ensuring smooth line flow and protecting fine mono leaders from abrasion. This layout not only provides a clean line path for euro-nymphing lines but also safeguards delicate mono leaders.
